![]() ![]() To shift gears for a minute for comparison: one of my main complaints about the FX show Fargo is that everything that happens is expected. His confusion over that caused him to lash out and kill Van Helsing in order to spur Victor on in making him a bride. She was kind to him, but she isn't going to fall in love with him. The same was true after he gave Maude ( Hannah Tointon) the book about Lucifer as a love note, which she recognized as such. He was hated at first for killing Proteus, but after his backstory, he was pitiable. The Creature killing Van Helsing also added yet another twisted dimension to his personality. It also showed how Victor's "mistake" in trying to reanimate a human continues to haunt him. Of course, the fact that he's essentially the only vampire hunter on Earth is kind of a big deal, so the Creature killing him was indeed a huge loss (most especially for Malcolm to get further information about how he might get to and save Mina). This time, Van Helsing offers his, saying that since he's near the end of his life, his loss would not be as great. Like Malcolm, Van Helsing assured Victor that he has much to contribute, but that he is not the rough-and-tumble type to be going on adventures without protection. Van Helsing spoke to Victor about the wife he loved deeply, who did not in fact succumb to disease rather, "I drove a stake through her heard and cut off her head." That will get one's attention. But Ivory stopped her and almost killed Violet in this process. For Victor, Van Helsing was finally able to illuminate the nature of the The Master which Sir Malcolm seeks, and why, as Sembene warns Sir Malcolm, if Mina cannot be saved, he needs to know what he is willing to do. Later, Violet fell prey to Vanator’s seducing power to open the amulet. However, Ivory took the step to cut off Zuma’s head. But there, Zuma became the victim of Dracula’s will to snatch the amulet from Violet’s neck. When the sisters tried to move away from the site, they found another shelter to stay. But when they reached the White House, Dracula levitating orb made Claire carve out her heart. Meanwhile, Ivory and Violet, newly escaped from Fort Collins, teamed up with Sisterhood. It began with Dracula summoning radiant energy in the form of a red orb to track down the amulet location, which is currently in Violet’s custody. In Van Helsing Season 5 Episode 5, titled “Sisterhunt,” Violet learned the power and weakness of darkness. So, she needs extra help to win the battle, and it seems Axel and Julius will accidentally help Dracula in this case. And now the amulet is in Violet’s possession. However, it might weaken Dracula’s powers as she lost some of her powers during the face-off with Jack. ![]() Now that she knows how to manage the powers, their journey to the White House will begin again. But in the end, Violet breathes the darkness in the charm and commands Vanator to self-destruct. Well, the last time we saw Violet realizing that Vanator’s trying to break free as Dracula summons the orb to find the amulet. Further, it looks more likely that the pair’s faith is in danger as the promo teased they came across a deadly killer who might leave them in vain. But she doesn’t seem innocent like the way Julius remember her. The person appeared as an important figure for Julius named Nina. However, it would turn out a massive explosion when they meet someone from the past in the brutal face-off. Well, they were almost dead in the last season and how they revive is a big question here. But, surprisingly, both Julius and Axel are finally back for a new mission. After watching Julius and Axel dying in the fourth season finale, we never imagined that things will turn out like this. Van Helsing Season 5 Episode 6, titled “Carpe Noctis,” will see a reunion. ![]()
